In a move to provide retailers with even more product offerings, the Premium Cigar Association (PCA) and Boutique Cigar Association (BCA) have teamed up for a groundbreaking collaboration that will bring small, family-owned boutique cigar companies front and center at this year’s PCA trade show and international convention in Las Vegas, July -11, 2023. The BCA will have its own Boutique Cigar Pavillion on the trade show floor, and with weeks to go until the official start of the show, both organizations are excited to report that the Pavillion is completely booked and sold out for this year.
The PCA and BCA have worked together closely over the past two years to develop this concept. This collaboration began with a meeting between Dr. Gaby Kafie, founder and current treasurer of the BCA and owner of Kafie 1901 cigars, and the PCA leadership during PCA22. The goal was to find an exhibiting solution that addressed the challenges faced by small companies with limited budgets and staff. The result of this work is the Boutique Cigar Pavillion which will feature 18 companies. This reflects the continued growth and popularity of boutique cigars and highlights some of the unique challenges these small producers face in terms of regulations.
“There is a famous quote that says, ‘There is no stability without solidarity and no solidarity without stability.’ For too long, our industry has negated to develop a gateway for new enterprises to flourish. The BCA Pavillion addresses these concerns,” said Armen Caprielian, president of the BCA.
Kafie added, “It has always been the goal of every small boutique cigar company to exhibit at the PCA Trade Show. Through the Boutique Cigar Pavilion, we have come together as a community to support the PCA while gaining more exposure for our brands. It’s a win-win partnership.”
