New Tobacco Compliance Webinar Available for Retailers

FDA’s Center for Tobacco Products invites you to watch the new Tobacco Compliance Webinar, “Tips for Retailers: Preventing Sales to Persons Under 21 Years of Age.”

This webinar provides a brief overview of the various resources available to retailers that may help prevent the sale of tobacco products to individuals under the age of 21, focusing specifically on age verification, internal compliance checks, and recommended training practices. The webinar also covers recent updates to federal law for tobacco products containing nicotine not derived from tobacco.

PCA Provides Testimony against New Zealand’s Anti-Tobacco Law

Last week, PCA’s Government Affairs Manager Ryan Parada, appeared before the New Zealand Parliament and Parliamentary Sub-Committee on Health to provide evidence against the proposed Generational smoking ban. If passed, this legislation would make the use, purchase or possession of tobacco a criminal offense for anyone born after January 1, 2009. This law would effectively ban tobacco products in the country, and in doing so, close all of the tobacconists within. PCA aims to protect specialty retailers around the globe and when it comes to bad policy, it is important to stop it where it starts.

PCA Fall Fundraiser

On October 26th, PCA will host our annual Fall fundraiser, but this year it is a bit different. Instead of a rooftop smoke, PCA will host a clay shoot. This event will welcome over 200 people and provide attendees the opportunity to participate in sporting clays while enjoying premium cigars.

The event will take place on October 26, 2022 from 10am—2pm at Prince George’s County Trap and Skeet Center located at 10400 Good Luck Road, Glenn Dale, MD 20769.

Tickets are now available for both clay shooting and non-clay shooting and may be purchased here.

Can’t go but want to support the PCA? Donations can be also be made at the link above or through the PCA website here. All contributions go directly to protecting premium tobacco against government overreach.
