Gurkha Discontinuing San Miguel and Treinta

Gurkha Cigar Group International is discontinuing two of its regular product lines–the San Miguel and Treinta. These cuts have been made in an effort to make room for further growth, according to the company in a press release.

Juan Lopez, vice president of sales at Gurkha, commented: “We fully recognize that shelf space is real estate in our industry. In order to continue to offer new and improved products, we have made the tough decision to discontinue a couple of the old ones.”

The Treinta and San Miguel will continue to be sold as long as inventory and packaging permits. These products will also be offered through Gurkha’s toro sampler packs for the time being. The company warns that once they are gone, they will be gone for good.

Even with these cuts being made, there are new releases coming from Gurkha, including the 35th anniversary cigar that was introduced during the 2023 Premium Cigar Association (PCA) convention and trade show that was held in Las Vegas this past July.

“We’re proud to be in business for 35 years and wanted to commemorate the milestone with a special cigar,” said Jim Colucci, President of Gurkha Cigars.

The Gurkha 35th Anniversary cigar features a Habano wrapper and is available in a toro, torpedo and figuarado vitola. The cigar will initially be available in a Ferrari Red Humidor and next spring will be available to more retailers in a 10-count box.
