IPCPR Hires Western Regional Representative

Washington, DC – The International Premium Cigar and Pipe Retailers Association (IPCPR) announced today that Tyler Henson has joined the government affairs team as Western Regional Representative to expand IPCPR’s influence in the western region of the United States.

Tyler brings a wealth of experience within the government affairs industry, having spent the last two years as President of the Colorado Cannabis Chamber of Commerce where he was instrumental in advocating for a positive regulatory and legislative environment for the industry. Prior to working at the Colorado Cannabis Chamber of Commerce, Henson served as Legislative Director for the Wine & Spirit Wholesalers of Colorado and as a lobbyist for one of Colorado’s premier political consulting firms.

Greg Zimmerman, IPCPR’s Chair of State Government Affairs noted, “With Rachel Hyde in place to represent industry interests in the southeast, the addition of Tyler in the west sets our regional lobbying strategy into motion. Our goal is to have the entire country represented as soon as possible.”

Tyler joins IPCPR as Western Regional Representative in advance of 2017 legislative sessions to continue his success on behalf of IPCPR members. Mark Pursell, Chief Executive Officer said, “Tyler’s wealth of government affairs experience makes him a key addition to the IPCPR team. We view his appointment as a sign of our commitment to protecting IPCPR members from government overreach. I am confident that Tyler will be instrumental in advancing the interests of the premium tobacco industry.”
