Oliva Serie V Melanio Figuriño to Debut At PCA23

A new limited edition release of Oliva Cigar Co.’s Oliva Serie V Melanio is set to debut at this year’s Premium Cigar Association (PCA) trade show in Las Vegas, July 7-11. This release of a new shape of the popular Oliva Serie V Melanio, named the Figuriño, is a perfecto with two tapered ends. The Figuriño measures 5 1/2 x 54 and was created by Frederik Vandermarliere, owner of Oliva’s parent company, Vandermarliere Family of Cigars.

When asked about the inspiration behind this new Serie V Melanio release, Vandermarliere states that he wanted to prove that innovation and tradition can come through within the same product as long as the craft is respected and acknowledged.

The unique selling point of this Melanio is that it is round rather than box-pressed like the previous releases. The Oliva Serie V Melanio Figuriño is being released in 10-count boxes with an anticipated 14,500 production run expected. For the cigar’s blend, expect an Ecuadoran wrapper and a combination of Nicaraguan tobacco for the cigar’s binder and filler. The box displays an image of the Oliva-owned tobacco field, Hacienda de Ernesto, in Jalapa, Nicaragua. Each box will include a QR code to give cigar enthusiasts access to the story behind the release.

The Oliva Serie V Melanio Figuriño will make its debut at PCA23. You can register to attend this year’s trade show and international convention at pcashow.org.
