Policy on Cannabidiol (CBD)
The following exemptions to display CBD products are allowable by the Sands Expo Convention Center and PCA. CBD or Cannabidiol is defined as a non-intoxicating product found in cannabis and hemp and is often used to help alleviate pain and other symptoms. With the use of CBD becoming more widely legal and available, PCA agrees to allow exhibitors to display and place orders for products containing CBD with a few stipulations. Furthermore, PCA will adhere to any changes in state, local or federal government laws as well as the policies as brought forth by the Sands Expo Convention Center regarding the display and ordering of CBD. Exhibitors may display packaging and marketing materials for CBD products with less than 0.3% THC (“CBD Products”) during the Event.
Exhibitors may display CBD Products on the floor during the Event so long as such products are in full compliance with FDA requirements. In addition, exhibitors displaying CBD Products on the floor must produce:
- Certificates of Analysis issued by an independent lab identifying that the THC levels in such CBD Products on display are less than 0.3%; and
- Information regarding the independent lab who conducted such testing, including license and certification information for the lab who performed the analysis, license/certification numbers for that lab, and the name(s) and contact information of the agency that issued such license(s) and certification(s); and
- Exhibitors displaying packaging and marketing materials for CBD Products or CBD Products may need to provide additional information or documentation upon request.
- CBD products are for display only and are prohibited without exception for distribution, sampling and consumption on the Show Floor.
Exhibitors shall provide a list of all CBD Products along with the above documentation and PCA approval form to the Organization no less than sixty (60) days prior to the event. Furthermore, all Event Entities shall have a copy of their product(s) ingredients list or product data sheet available for inspection at all times.
PCA reserves the right to prohibit the display, distribution or consumption of any products deemed unacceptable or that violate event or property policies and guidelines. These policies are to protect the integrity of the show and the comfort and safety of its members, attendees, and other occupants of the property. These rules will be strictly enforced. Violators will be subject to removal from the show floor and potential banning from the association at the sole discretion of PCA.
Zero Tolerance Policy on Marijuana
The possession, smoking or consumption of marijuana is NOT allowed at PCA 2021. Violators will be trespassed from the show and not allowed to return.
