Code of Conduct

All attendees and their representatives (including retailers, manufacturers, distributors, brokers, suppliers and media) of PCA 2021 will be held by to the highest standards of personal and professional conduct. All participants, attendees and representatives agree not to disturb the activities of other attendee representatives, disturb or harass other attendees, staff or Show attendees, precipitate the intervention of Facility security or public law enforcement, or in any other way disrupt the smooth operation of the Show.

PCA reserves the right to determine in its sole judgement when an attendee or its representative has violated the standards of conduct, and to take whatever action PCA deems necessary to protect the safety of Show attendees and the public, up to and including immediate termination of said attendees trade show privileges, expulsion from the Facility, and barring the attendee from future attendance at PCA events.

PCA has entered into a contract with the Venetian & Palazzo Sands Expo & Convention Center for the trade show. These contracts specify designated smoking areas and times that Show Management, Exhibitors, Attendees and all other members or non-members associated with the Show must adhere to in order to be in compliance with these contracts. This is a serious issue that is important in order to be able to host future trade shows, not only in Las Vegas, but throughout the country.

Smoking at the PCA trade show is only allowed in the designated convention and meeting areas during designated show hours.

Smoking is strictly prohibited in the following restricted areas:

  • Common areas
  • Hallways
  • Foyers
  • Meeting rooms
  • Any other non-smoking area ad designated by the Venetian & Palazzo Sands Expo & Convention Center

Attendees and participants of the Show understand that if any party who may be associated with or a representative of an attending company is caught smoking outside of the specified times and locations or in the restricted areas, the company may be fined $7,500, removed from the Show, banned from all future shows and company membership in PCA may be suspended until the fine is paid in full.

Attendees, exhibitors and all representatives agree not to disturb the activities of others in attendance, especially where related to the consumption of alcohol.

All guests of the PCA 2021 Trade Show are expected to drink responsibly and ensure they have a safe, responsible means of transportation before leaving the facility. Any guest who is intoxicated before entering the event may be denied entry to the facility. Any guest found intoxicated within the event and causing a disturbance, as determined by management, will be asked to leave the facility without refund and may be subject to further consequences.

While Cannabis is legal in Nevada, it is not legal at the trade show. Cannabis is strictly prohibited on the entire property.

For exhibitors wishing to display CBD, please view and adhere with PCA’s Policy on the use, display, consumption, and distribution of CBD products.

Under the FDA’s guidance, it is permissible for a business to distribute free samples in a limited quantity (i.e., no more than necessary to achieve a business or marketing goal, such as awareness of and exposure to the product for the purposes of product or inventory selection) to another business as part of a genuine effort to sell or market a tobacco product to that business.

DISTRIBUTION TO CONSUMERS DURING THE TRADE SHOW IS STRICTLY PROHIBITED

If challenged, attendees will be required to provide the following:

  • Proof of employment
  • Business card and/or other identification which proves identity
  • Proof of PCA affiliation

SAMPLES TO HOTEL STAFF PROHIBITED

Sands and Venetian staff cannot accept cigars. They are prohibited from doing so and will have to throw them away. Any cigar given will be trashed.

ENFORCEMENT

Policies listed above are strictly enforced. We expect all attendees to adhere to the policy.

NOTE: Only exhibitors who have obtained an event Specific License from the Nevada Department of Taxation may distribute samples. This license must be on hand at the show, but is not required to be displayed at your booth.

The PCA 2021 Convention & International Trade Show will take place July 9 — July 13, 2021 at the Sands Convention & Expo Center in Las Vegas, Nevada.

Tuesday, June 15, 2021 is the deadline to take advantage of PCA’s discounted room rates. NOTE: Rooms may be booked up prior to this date. Plan ahead and reserve your room now.

Only current PCA members will be able to register to attend PCA 2021. If you are unsure of your status or need help renewing or joining, contact erin@premiumcigars.org.

PCA members receive a certain number of FREE badges based on your membership tier. Additional badges may be purchased online through the member portal. NOTE: PCA 2021 is a members-only event and is not open to the general public. Badges may not be given to anyone outside of the association who has not been given prior authorization by the PCA.

  • Trade show EXHIBITORS will receive up to four (4) badges per 100 square feet of booth space. Exhibitors staying at the Venetian may purchase additional badges for $150 each.  *Must submit Badge Request Form here, along with hotel confirmation, once you have booked your stay at the Venetian. Yes! Due to increased safety, you will need to pre-register before you arrive in Las Vegas.

Yes. Please complete the Special Assistance Form and include any requests for special accommodations. A member of our team will follow up with you directly about ensuring you have a fulfilling trade show experience.

Smoking is only allowed in designated locations and times.

Smoking is prohibited in common areas, hallways, registration areas, meeting rooms, guest rooms, and any other non-smoking areas as designated by the Sands Expo Center, Venetian & Palazzo. 

Anyone assigned a badge representing your company caught smoking outside of the specified times and locations or in the restricted areas may be fined, removed from the show, banned from all future shows and membership could be suspended until the fine is paid in full. Yes. The PCA will work with the Sands to ensure the health and safety of everyone participating in the PCA 2021 Trade Show. Learn more about the safety measures we will be implementing this year.

In case of Cancellation of 2021 Trade Show

In the unfortunate event that the PCA trade show cannot be held in 2021 due to COVID-19, booth refund and transfer requests will be individually processed. This Addendum shall not apply if the PCA trade show is rescheduled for a different date in 2021. Exhibitors must select one of the three options below:

  1. Full refund: If PCA cancels the trade show in 2021, exhibitors may request a full refund, less any outstanding invoices due to PCA. In order to receive a refund, exhibitors must request the refund via a signed cancellation form within thirty (30) days of notice of cancellation. Refunds will be processed within thirty (30) days of receipt of the cancellation form. 
  2. Defer payment: Exhibitors who wish to keep their payment with PCA will keep their current pricing (i.e., if you rolled over 2020, you would still be locked in at 2020 rates, or if you booked your booth in 2021 and rolled over, you will be locked in at the 2021 rate). Exhibitors who opt to roll over their payments will select their booths in order of priority points before the full refund group for the next trade show that we expect would be held in 2022. 
  3. Donation: Exhibitors who wish to donate their booth payments in support of PCA’s legislative efforts will be in the first group to secure their space in priority points order and lock in their most recent rate (i.e., if you rolled over 2020, you would still be locked in at 2020 rates, or if you booked your booth in 2021 and rolled over, you will be locked in at the 2021 rate) for the next trade show that we expect would be held in 2022.
Manufacturers whose employees test positive for COVID-19 

If an exhibitor has one or more employees who test positive for COVID-19 within 14 days of the scheduled start date of the trade show, consideration for deferral of booth payments will be processed on a case-by-case basis. Such diagnosis must render it impossible for the exhibitor to participate in the 2021 PCA trade show. Exhibitors must provide a written explanation of why performance would be impossible and request a deferral form from PCA. In the event that PCA approves such a request, the exhibitor shall be permitted to defer its booth payment to either the rescheduled 2021 trade show or the 2022 trade show, whichever is earlier.
