Plasencia Cigars has announced the release of two new vitolas that join its celebrated portfolio under the banner of the Short Smokes Collection: the Plasencia Reserva Original Corona Corta (3 7/8 x 48) and the Plasencia Alma Fuerte Colorado Claro Robusto Corto (4 x 52). The new additions aim to deliver the brand’s signature craftsmanship and flavor in a refined, time-efficient format. Shipping begins in October 2025.
The Plasencia Reserva Original is recognized as the world’s first cigar made entirely from 100% certified organic tobacco, cultivated without pesticides or artificial fertilizers. Certified by the Organic Crop Improvement Association (OCIA), this Nicaraguan puro is grown on the Plasencia family’s estates in Estelí and Jalapa. The blend, which earned a 92 rating from Cigar Aficionado and a place among its Top 25 Cigars of 2022, is known for its naturally sweet, mild-to-medium profile with notes of cedar, caramel, toasted nuts, and subtle spice. The new Corona Corta size maintains these characteristics while offering a shorter format suited to today’s smoker.
The Alma Fuerte Colorado Claro Robusto Corto joins the flagship Alma Fuerte series, featuring an aged Colorado Claro wrapper from Jalapa. This Nicaraguan puro delivers a medium-to-full-bodied profile marked by creamy sweetness, baking spice, white pepper, and hints of fruit and earth. The new Robusto Corto captures the depth and complexity of the full-size blend in a more compact presentation.
