Cavalier Genève Cigars has unveiled its latest Regional Edition release—a cigar created exclusively for Switzerland, the birthplace of the brand. This project marks the second Regional Exclusive in the company’s portfolio, following the debut of the United States edition.

“This is a project that has been on our minds and blackboards for a few years,” said Sébastien Decoppet, founder of Cavalier Genève Cigars. “After much reflection on the concept following the creation of the original Regional Exclusive for the U.S., it felt right that Switzerland—our home—should be next. It’s a place we wanted to celebrate accordingly.”

The Regional Edition Switzerland, aptly named Mauro, honors not only the company’s Swiss heritage but also a close friend and member of the AMC Trading team, Mauro Neri. “Mauro is simply an inspiration for everyone who knows him, for his love and dedication to the cigar world as a whole,” said Decoppet. “In his honor, we decided to call the cigar ‘Mauro.’ A special wax paper with words dedicated to our dear friend can be found in every box produced.”

The cigar is offered in a 109 vitola (7 1/4x 50)—a traditional format for which new molds were created exclusively for this release. The blend features a Habano wrapper, San Andrés binder, and fillers from Jalapa, Estelí, Honduran Broadleaf, and Jamastran, all hand-rolled at Cavalier’s own Fabrica Centroamericana de Tabaco S.A. (FCT).

Limited to just 500 boxes of 10 cigars (5,000 total), the Regional Edition Switzerland has been aged for nearly two years post-production before shipment to the brand’s official Swiss importer, AMC Trading, which collaborated closely in the cigar’s creation over the past three years.

The Mauro retails at 280 CHF per 10-count box and is a fitting tribute to Cavalier Genève’s roots, craftsmanship, and the community that helped shape its story.
