J.C. Newman Cigar Co. has officially begun shipping its newest limited-edition release: The Brick House is on Fire, a creative and fiery twist on one of the company’s most enduring heritage brands. Available exclusively to members of the Tobacconist Association of America (TAA), this special cigar is limited to 1,000 boxes of 10 and is already on its way to retailers across the country.

The Brick House is on Fire arrives as a 6 x 50 Toro crafted with an unfinished foot designed to resemble an actual flame—a visual cue that sets the tone for the cigar’s dramatic lighting experience. According to fourth-generation owner Drew Newman, this striking design isn’t just about appearance.
“When you light The Brick House is on Fire, the cigar ignites in flames,” Newman said. “The wrapper and binder are cut back to expose the filler leaves. We are excited to share this special cigar with TAA members.”

Handmade at the PENSA factory in Estelí, Nicaragua, the blend draws on a carefully aged selection of Nicaraguan binder and filler tobaccos—each matured for five years—paired with an Ecuador Havana wrapper. This release adds fresh energy to the Brick House name, which recently earned a Top 10 ranking in Cigar Aficionado’s 2024 list.

For J.C. Newman, the limited edition not only celebrates the craft but also pays homage to the legacy behind the brand.
“Brick House is one of my great-grandfather’s original cigar brands,” Newman added. “First rolled in 1937, Brick House honors the home where he was born—the only brick building in his village. It stood as a symbol of strength and family, and that heritage still guides us today.”

The Brick House is on Fire carries a suggested retail price of $12 per cigar (before applicable taxes) and is expected to sell quickly given its limited production and unique design.
