Powstanie Cigars has announced the release of a new vitola within its Mexican San Andrés line with the introduction of the Mexican San Andrés Corona Gorda, now open for retailer orders.

The new Corona Gorda is designed to highlight the depth and character of Mexican San Andrés wrapper tobacco, placing an emphasis on balance, structure, and wrapper-forward flavor. According to the company, the vitola underscores Powstanie’s ongoing focus on meticulous blending and construction while delivering a full-bodied smoking experience intended to appeal to experienced consumers.

Wrapped in a well-fermented Mexican San Andrés wrapper, the cigar features an Indonesian binder and a blend of Nicaraguan and Dominican fillers. The combination is intended to showcase the richness of the wrapper while maintaining consistency and balance throughout the smoking experience. Flavor notes include dark cocoa, espresso, roasted earth, and subtle spice, supported by a smooth draw and even burn.

The Corona Gorda format allows the wrapper to take center stage, offering a smoking experience that emphasizes texture and depth without overwhelming the palate. The vitola was selected specifically to highlight the complexity of the San Andrés wrapper while remaining refined and approachable.

Initial production of the Powstanie Mexican San Andrés Corona Gorda is limited to 400 boxes, with each box containing 21 cigars. The cigar carries an MSRP of $13.50 per cigar and $283.50 per box. Orders are currently open, with shipments to retailers expected to begin shortly.

Retailers interested in learning more about the release or placing orders are encouraged to contact Mike Palmer, National Sales Manager for Pospiech Cigars, which handles the Powstanie brand.
