The Premium Cigar Association (PCA) announced a new partnership agreement with Honduras’ Festival del Puro y el Café, strengthening international collaboration in one of the world’s fastest-growing premium cigar regions.

Held annually in Danlí, El Paraíso—widely regarded as the heart of Honduran tobacco production—the Festival del Puro y el Café celebrates two of the nation’s most iconic exports: premium cigars and specialty coffee. Launched in 2021, the festival has grown quickly into a key destination for manufacturers, retailers, and enthusiasts.

The agreement is designed to expand engagement, shared programming, and visibility for PCA members, Honduran festival stakeholders, retailers, and premium cigar enthusiasts.

“This partnership is a proud recognition of Honduras’ place in the global premium cigar landscape,” said Héctor Valladares, Organizer of the Festival del Puro y el Café. “Our mission has always been to showcase the excellence of Honduran tobacco, coffee, and culture to the world. Working alongside the PCA allows us to open new doors for retailers, producers, and enthusiasts, while honoring the tradition that makes this industry so extraordinary.”

As part of the partnership, the PCA will support festival branding and registration awareness across its membership, while the festival will provide registrations for members of PCA’s staff to attend the festival. PCA’s participation will strengthen engagement with Honduran manufacturers and a number of its industry partners.

“Honduras represents one of the most dynamic stories in premium cigars today,” said Joshua Habursky, CEO of the Premium Cigar Association. “The association is proud to expand our international partnership to include Honduras after years of collaboration with the festivals in Nicaragua and the Dominican Republic. As the world’s largest premium cigar retail marketplace, it is important that we support the producing countries and their respective festivals.”

The partnership reflects a shared commitment to global collaboration, retailer support, and the continued growth of premium cigar culture worldwide.
