Black Works Studio has announced the return of Boondock, marking the first full release of the limited-edition cigar since 2019. Production is once again centered at Fabrica Oveja Negra in Estelí, Nicaragua, with shipments beginning this week to select retailers.

Boondock has long been one of the most requested limited releases in the Black Works Studio portfolio. After appearing as part of last year’s Boombox collection — which reignited interest among core fans — the brand has now brought it back as a standalone limited edition, this time with an expanded vitola offering that includes a new Lancero format.

The blend remains rooted in the bold, boutique-forward identity that defines Black Works Studio. Boondock features a Pennsylvania Broadleaf wrapper over a Nicaraguan Habano binder, with a filler blend composed of tobaccos from Nicaragua, Pennsylvania, and Connecticut. The profile is described as bold, rich, and balanced, with raisin and dark fruit notes layered against an assertive pepper spice, creating a complex and distinctive smoking experience.

The release is offered in three sizes: a 6 1/4 x 46 Corona Larga and a 5 1/4 x 50 Robusto, both priced at an MSRP of $12.50, and a 7 x 42 Lancero priced at $13.50. All vitolas are packaged in 20-count boxes.

For retailers, the addition of the Lancero provides a fresh angle for longtime Boondock customers while maintaining the core formats that helped build its following. As a limited edition, allocation will be focused on select accounts, reinforcing the exclusivity that has historically driven demand for the line.

Produced entirely at Fabrica Oveja Negra, Boondock reflects the factory’s boutique craftsmanship and continued focus on distinctive, small-batch releases that resonate with enthusiasts seeking bold, unconventional profiles.
