Aladino Cigars, produced by JRE Tobacco Company, has announced a limited-edition release designed to commemorate the upcoming 250th anniversary of American independence.
Called the Aladino Declaration, the cigar is positioned as a tribute to the ideals of liberty and the historical legacy tied to the founding of the United States. The release will ship to retailers in June 2026 and will be produced at Fábrica de Puros Aladino in Honduras.
The blend itself remains undisclosed, though the company notes that the cigar is composed entirely of tobacco grown and produced by JRE Tobacco. Production will be limited, reinforcing the commemorative nature of the project and its connection to the upcoming America 250 celebration.
The Aladino Declaration will be offered in a 6 x 52 toro format and packaged in boxes containing 13 cigars, a symbolic nod to the 13 original colonies that formed the United States.
Beyond the cigar itself, the presentation plays a central role in the concept. The exterior of the box features the historic 13-star colonial flag, while the interior lid reveals the modern United States flag, representing the country’s growth and unity over the past two and a half centuries.
Inside the box lid, the design also incorporates one of the most recognizable passages from the Declaration of Independence, referencing the ideals that shaped the founding of the nation:
“We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty, and the pursuit of Happiness.”
Pre-orders for the release began in March, with retailers expected to see shipments arrive in early summer ahead of the United States’ Semiquincentennial celebrations.
