Don Emmanuel Cigars is preparing to introduce a new limited release at the 2026 Premium Cigar Association Trade Show (PCA26) in New Orleans, with a project that centers on contrast, balance, and duality.
The upcoming Sun & Moon Limited Edition is a dual-blend concept developed in collaboration with legendary master blender Eladio Díaz and produced at Tabacalera Díaz Cabrera in the Dominican Republic. The release will serve as one of the brand’s flagship introductions at PCA26.
A Dual-Blend Concept Built Around Contrast
Sun & Moon is designed as a paired experience, with two distinct cigars packaged together to reflect opposing but complementary profiles.
The Sun blend is positioned as a brighter, more approachable expression intended for daytime smoking, while the Moon blend offers a deeper, more contemplative profile suited for evening enjoyment. Both cigars are presented in a 6 1/2 x 50 format, allowing for consistency across the experience while highlighting differences in blend composition.
The Sun cigar features an Ecuador Connecticut wrapper with Dominican binder and filler, while the Moon cigar utilizes an Ecuador Habano wrapper, Mexican binder, and Dominican filler—creating two distinct interpretations built on a shared foundation.
Rum Barrel-Aged Tobacco Adds Complexity
A defining element of the project is the use of rum barrel-aged tobaccos, a process that introduces additional aromatic complexity and depth to both blends.
This approach reflects a growing trend among manufacturers exploring alternative aging techniques to differentiate products in a competitive premium segment—particularly within limited releases aimed at experienced consumers.
Limited Production and Premium Positioning
Production of the Sun & Moon Limited Edition is capped at 777 numbered boxes, each containing 14 cigars—seven Sun and seven Moon—reinforcing the concept of balance within the presentation itself.
The collection carries a suggested retail price of $350 per box, with individual cigars priced at $25, positioning it firmly within the premium, collector-driven segment of the market.
For retailers attending PCA 2026, the release offers a product that combines storytelling, presentation, and limited availability, all of which continue to resonate with consumers seeking unique and experiential offerings.
PCA 2026 Preview Opportunity
As part of its rollout, Don Emmanuel will host a preview event at Empire Social Lounge in Miami on March 25, where attendees will have an opportunity to see the project ahead of its official PCA debut. The event will include an appearance by Eladio Díaz and an early look at the Sun & Moon presentation.
However, the primary launch and broader retail opportunity will center around PCA26 in New Orleans, where the cigar is expected to gain wider industry exposure.
