Plasencia Cigars and Corona Cigar Company are expanding their product partnership with a new Alma Fuerte Torpedo Semi-Boxpress made exclusively for the Florida retailer.

The 6 x 54 release joins Corona’s existing exclusive Alma del Cielo Robusto Gordo, a 5 1/2 x 54 distinguished from the regular collection by its Colorado Claro wrapper. The Alma del Cielo is also moving into Plasencia’s redesigned blue-and-gold packaging.

Alma del Cielo returns in new presentation

Corona’s Alma del Cielo Robusto Gordo uses tobacco from Finca San Julián in Condega, Nicaragua, grown at elevations above 3,500 feet. Plasencia describes the Colorado Claro-wrapped cigar as a fuller, more robust expression of the high-elevation blend.

  • Packaging: Redesigned 10-count boxes
  • MSRP: $27.99 per cigar; $279.90 per box

Both cigars will be sold through Corona Cigar Company’s five Florida stores and its online shop. Shipments of the new Alma Fuerte and newly packaged Alma del Cielo are scheduled for the first week of November 2026.

Corona Cigar Company founder and president Jeff Borysiewicz said the exclusives reflect the companies’ shared focus on distinctive tobacco and craftsmanship. Plasencia CEO Ed Bello said the partnership gives the companies room to explore new expressions of the family’s tobacco portfolio while offering customers products not available through other retailers.
