Selected Tobacco has begun shipping its Robusto Edition Set to United Cigars retail partners who attended the company’s Madrid facility opening. The five-cigar commemorative collection is already sold out, with shipments limited to its original allocation.
Created to honor guests of the October 10–11 celebration, the set brings together five Selected Tobacco brands and introduces two previously unreleased sizes: Bandolero Premium Atrevidos and Nelson Hidalgos.
The collection includes Byron Poemas, Atabey Brujos, Alfonso Añejo No. 2 and Bandolero Premium Atrevidos, each measuring 5 x 52, along with the 5 x 50 Nelson Hidalgos. Its suggested retail value is $200.
Each cigar is presented in an individual cosmetic-grade aluminum tube. The outer package has a green embossed exterior with gold detailing and a sliding gold sleeve.
According to Selected Tobacco, the cigars underwent its post-roll aging process, with a minimum of four to five years of aging before release. The collection combines that approach with a sampling of the portfolio founded by Nelson Alfonso.
For retailers, availability is confined to the sets allocated through participation in the Madrid event; the announcement does not represent a new open ordering window.
