At this year’s Premium Cigar Association (PCA) trade show, C.L.E. unveiled the new Asylum April Fools’ 2024 “Year of the Dragon.” This is the fourth in a series of cigars typically released each year on April Fools’ Day, on April 1.
“The Asylum cigar brand is meant to be fun and experimental. The April Fools blend is not for the faint of heart. It is truly a powerhouse of a cigar with very bold flavors,” said Asylum Cigars’s co-founder, Tom Lazuka.
Last year’s Asylum April Fools’ release celebrated the Chinese Zodiac, a trend that the company is continuing with this year’s release. The Asylum April Fools’ 2024 “Year of the Dragon” is a full-bodied, Honduran puro that features bold flavors from start to finish. Presented in a massive 9 x 90 size, this cigar is described as being “rich in flavor and complexity” and as being a “peppery smoke, featuring woodsy and sweet notes.”
This cigar comes packaged in tubes that are held within a six-cigar tray. The black box features blood-red print with the image of a dragon prominently displayed on the packaging. The suggested retail price per cigar is $42.36 or $251.16 for a tray of six, before applicable taxes.
