Big Sky Cigar Co. and Montana-based Willie’s Distillery have announced a new partnership that will result in a collaborative premium cigar, with additional details expected later this year.
The project brings together two Montana companies that say they share a focus on craftsmanship and traditional production methods. According to the companies, the collaboration is intended to celebrate the connection between premium cigars and handcrafted spirits while highlighting their shared roots in the Treasure State.
The first release will be available exclusively through Willie’s Distillery and at select Big Sky Cigar events. The companies also indicated the project is expected to serve as the foundation for a future regular-production cigar honoring the partnership.
Specific information about the blend, release date and launch events has not yet been announced.
“Good things can’t be rushed. Great bourbon takes time, and so do great cigars,” said Brandon Marsh, co-owner of Big Sky Cigar Co., in a press release. “When the opportunity came up to work with another Montana company like Willie’s Distillery, it just felt like the right fit.”
Founded in Montana, Big Sky Cigar Co. distributes its premium cigars through more than 500 retailers across 45 states. Willie’s Distillery, located in Ennis, Montana, produces a range of handcrafted bourbons, whiskeys, vodkas and other spirits.
Retailers interested in the collaboration can expect additional information about the cigar and its availability in the coming months.
