Fabrica Oveja Negra, the Nicaraguan factory behind Black Label Trading Company and Black Works Studio, has announced two new releases: Eletto from Black Label Trading Company (BLTC) and Tooth and Bear from Black Works Studio.

Eletto is a bold cigar with intense retro and layers of complexity. The cigar’s blend has a Connecticut Broadleaf wrapper, Ecuador Habano binder, and Nicaraguan filler. According to the company, Eletto has notes of “dark fruit … followed by waves of spice and star anise.”

“Eletto or ‘Chosen One’ is just as the name implies. I chose this cigar to be a tribute to celebrate the 10yr anniversary of Fábrica Oveja Negra. This cigar is a great representation of BLTC but also highlights the big, bold, Nicaraguan tobacco Oveja Negra if known for,” commented James Brown, creator of Black Label Trading Co. and partner at Fabrica Oveja Negra.

Eletto is available in three sizes: Short Robusto, 4 1/2 x 52; Corona Gorda, 5 1/4 x 46; and Toro, 6 x 50. The suggested retail price per cigar ranges from $12.40 to $13.90 before applicable taxes.

Another release out of Fabrica Oveja Negra is Tooth and Bear, an exclusive for the Tooth & Bear Cigar Lounge in Woodland Park, Colorado. Released from Black Works Studio, Tooth and Bear features a Sumatra and Ecuador Habano wrapper, Ecuador Habano binder, and Nicaraguan filler. It is presented in just one size–a 5 1/2 x 48 Corona Gorda with a suggested retail price of $12 per cigar before applicable taxes.

In a press release, Jake Roddick, owner of Tooth & Bear, commented: “Diente Del Oso, a company from Colorado founded from a passion of fine tobacco and cigar culture, is excited to share our new cigar. Our path led us to the Oveja Negra factory, a place that felt more like an artist’s studio than a manufacturing facility. The attention to detail, the pride in every step, and the genuine care for their people were unmatched. Their passion and integrity made it clear: This was the home for our cigar. With their collaboration, we are excited to release The Tooth and Bear.”

“I’m really excited about this project,” added Fabrica Oveja Negra’s James Brown. “It was great to be able to spend time with the team from Tooth & Bear at our factory, Oveja Negra. Smoking through tobaccos with them in person gave me insight into who they are and what they wanted for a shop exclusive. To say this cigar is unique would be a severe understatement. I would honestly say it’s very different from anything we’ve done in the past, especially considering it’s in the Black Works portfolio. You just have to try it for yourself.”

Tooth and Bear is available now at Tooth & Bear Cigar Lounge.
