Black Works Studio is introducing Culture Vulture, a limited-edition cigar expected to begin shipping to select retailers during the week of Sept. 21, 2026.
Handcrafted at Fabrica Oveja Negra in Estelí, Nicaragua, Culture Vulture features a distinctive wrapper treatment designed to fade from green to yellow and back to green. The cigar’s specifications list Ecuador Maduro, Connecticut and Candela wrapper tobaccos, an Ecuador Habano binder and Nicaraguan filler.
James Brown, creator of Black Label Trading Company and partner at Fabrica Oveja Negra, said the cigar represents a new direction for Black Works Studio in its concept, artwork and construction.
“The artwork was created alongside the cigar, with both designed to capture the same bold, unconventional energy,” Brown said. “For me, the visual identity and the cigar itself must work together—they’re both part of telling the story.”
Brown described Culture Vulture as the boldest profile Black Works Studio has produced, citing its intensity and depth.
“This is, without question, the boldest profile we’ve ever created for Black Works,” Brown said. “Culture Vulture isn’t just another cigar for us; it’s a statement.”
