CAO has announced the next evolution of its best-selling Flathead franchise with the introduction of Flathead Speed Shop Habano, a new release that offers a more refined take on the line’s signature bold character.

Scheduled to begin shipping to retailers nationwide on February 2, 2026, Flathead Speed Shop Habano is designed for smokers seeking balance and consistency while maintaining the attitude and visual identity that has defined Flathead as a standout on humidor shelves. According to the company, the new blend emphasizes a medium-bodied profile built for regular enjoyment without sacrificing depth or complexity.

The cigar features an Ecuadorian Habano wrapper, paired with a San Andrés binder and a blend of Nicaraguan and Dominican fillers. Together, the components deliver notes of white pepper, leather, and earth, complemented by subtle sweetness—retaining the strength Flathead is known for while introducing a more controlled, everyday smoking experience.

Flathead Speed Shop Habano will debut in three vitolas, including an all-new frontmark, alongside two of the franchise’s most popular sizes:

  • V654 Crankshaft (6 1/2 x 54)
  • V660 Carb (6 x 60)
  • V770 Big Block (7 x 70)

All cigars are handcrafted in Honduras and packaged in 24-count boxes, with design elements inspired by vintage garage and speed shop culture. Suggested retail pricing ranges from $8.99 to $10.99, depending on size.

As Flathead continues to perform as CAO’s top-selling line, Speed Shop Habano provides retailers with an opportunity to engage both longtime Flathead smokers and customers looking for a slightly more approachable profile within a proven brand family. The release reinforces the ongoing demand for line extensions that respect a franchise’s core identity while offering meaningful differentiation on the shelf.
