CAO’s limited-edition Amazon Basin series is getting a new release. Amazon Basin Daggers is a new cigar that offers the signature Amazon Basin blend in a new compact 4 x 38 size.
“Amazon Basin fans are some of the most passionate in the cigar world. We’ve seen how quickly the original sells out and heard the same question every year: when are we getting more? Daggers are our answer to that. It’s the same blend, same rainforest story, now available in a new format,” commented Cory Beardsley, brand manager for CAO.
As used in the original Amazon Basin, Daggers is crafted with Bragança tobacco and is described by General Cigar Co. as delivering a “bold, earthy experience with notes of fruit and satisfying short-format draw.” Bragança tobacco is grown organically on unspoiled tropical land and hand rolled into tubes called carottes. After being rolled, the cigars are fermented under high pressure before they are transported by canoe from the rainforest. After arriving at CAO’s factory in Estelí, Nicaragua, the Bragança tobacco is blended with an Ecuadorian Sumatra wrapper, a Nicaraguan binder, and filler tobacco from Colombia and the Dominican Republic.
The Amazon Basin Daggers is being released in limited quantities. Each pack will contain 5 cigars and will have a suggested retail price of $24.99. This release is ready to ship to retailers.
