Cohiba is set to debut Rubicon, a new full-time addition to its premium lineup that reflects both a continuation and evolution of the brand’s signature blending philosophy. Shipping to retailers in August 2025, Cohiba Rubicon offers a globally sourced blend handcrafted at the HATSA factory in Danlí, Honduras.
Designed to appeal to both experienced palates and new premium cigar enthusiasts, Rubicon features six tobaccos from five countries, resulting in a medium-bodied profile with depth, balance, and refined transitions.
At the core of Rubicon is a carefully curated mix: an Ecuadorian Habano wrapper, U.S. Broadleaf binder, and a filler composed of Dominican Piloto, Honduran tobaccos from La Entrada and Jamastran, and Nicaraguan leaf from Estelí. The result is a cigar that offers complexity without overpowering strength—ideal for cigar lovers seeking a modern, approachable Cohiba experience.
“Rubicon gave us the opportunity to offer a cigar without boundaries,” said Sean Williams, Cohiba Brand Ambassador. “We designed it to bridge the gap between tradition and a modern expression of complexity. It’s nuanced enough for veteran smokers but welcoming for newer aficionados.”
Cohiba Rubicon will be available in three sizes: Robusto (box-pressed) 5 1/2 x 55; Toro, 6 x 54; and Gigante, 6 x 60. Each size comes in boxes of 20 cigars, offering retailers an attractive combination of craftsmanship, brand strength, and accessible pricing. The suggested retail price per cigar will range from $8.49 to $9.49, before applicable taxes.
With Rubicon, Cohiba continues to build out its Honduran portfolio while reinforcing its commitment to global sourcing, innovation, and wide market appeal. Retailers can expect high interest from both longtime Cohiba fans and those discovering the brand for the first time.
