Crowned Heads has announced the return of one of its most sought-after blends with the Belgian Blue Limited Edition 2025 — a new 5 ½ x 56 box-pressed format that builds on the success of last year’s original release.
“While we knew we had something special with the Belgian Blue blend, the reaction surpassed even our expectations,” said Jon Huber, president of Crowned Heads. “We heard from so many who wanted more or hoped it would become a regular production line — so, we listened.”
Named after the powerful and sculpted Belgian Blue breed of cattle, the blend mirrors that strength with a composition of 75% ligero tobaccos chosen for their texture and thickness, delivering intensity without sacrificing combustion or smoothness. Huber explained, “Belgian Blue was blended to be full in flavor first, and the strength became a natural byproduct — it’s strong and smooth at the same time.”
The Belgian Blue LE 2025 features a dark Mexican San Andrés wrapper, an Ecuadorian binder, and Nicaraguan and Dominican fillers. It will be packaged in 12-count boxes, with global production limited to 2,500 boxes (30,000 cigars total). The cigars are rolled at Tabacalera Pichardo’s D’Hatuey factory in Estelí, Nicaragua — home to other Crowned Heads lines such as Mil Días, Juárez, and Blood Medicine. The cigars are set to begin shipping in early November, with a suggested retail price of $13.50 per cigar.
