Zino is entering a new phase with the introduction of Zino Honduras, a release that signals a deliberate evolution of the brand’s identity within Davidoff’s broader portfolio.

Following the success of Zino Nicaragua, the new Honduras blend builds on the same philosophy—approachable, modern cigars designed to bring new consumers into the premium category—while shifting the flavor profile toward a more robust and layered experience.

In a press release, Javier González, SVP Head Global Marketing & Innovation at Oettinger Davidoff, commented, “We are delighted to be launching Zino Honduras to meet the rising demand for more intense cigars. The high quality of these handmade cigars, combined with the enhanced flexibility and spontaneity offered through innovative packaging and cut options, truly sets this line apart and reflects what Zino Cigars stands for as a brand.”

The new Zino Honduras will be available in three sizes: Half Corona, 4 x 44; Robusto, 5 x 54; and Toro, 6 x 50. In addition to traditional boxes, the Zino Honduras will be available in tins, packs, and fresh packs. Some of the fresh packs will include pre-cut cigars, a first for Davidoff’s Zino line.

Retailers will be able to get an early look at this new release at Davidoff’s booth during the 2026 Premium Cigar Association (PCA26) Trade Show in New Orleans, April 17-20, 2026.

A Strategic Step for the Zino Brand
Since its relaunch, Zino has served as Davidoff’s gateway brand—positioned below its ultra-premium offerings but still rooted in the company’s blending discipline and production standards.

The introduction of Zino Honduras reflects a natural progression. While Zino Nicaragua emphasized balance and accessibility, the Honduras release leans into a more intense and dynamic profile, giving retailers an additional option within the same brand family.

For PCA members, this expansion is less about a single SKU and more about portfolio development—offering a laddered experience that can move consumers from entry-level exploration to deeper engagement.

Looking Ahead
With Zino Honduras, Davidoff continues to refine its approach to the modern premium cigar consumer—balancing accessibility with progression and consistency with innovation.

As the brand evolves, the Zino portfolio is becoming less about a single entry point and more about a range of experiences under one recognizable name—a strategy that may resonate strongly with retailers looking to build depth within their assortments.
