First released in 2014, Davidoff’s Oro Blanco has become the stuff of legend among cigar aficionados looking to fill time beautifully with a top-of-the-line premium cigar experience. As Davidoff approaches the end of its last production of Oro Blanco, it is bringing the cigar back to the market with a special release–the Davidoff Oro Blanco Special Reserve 111 Years.
The new Davidoff Oro Blanco Special Reserve 111 is a Dominican puro cigar presented as a 6 x 54 toro. According to Oettinger Davidoff chief marketing officer Edward Simon, this new Davidoff Oro Blanco is composed of “the finest and most aged tobaccos in the industry.”
“The binder and each filler are at least 17 years old, including one that we have never used in a Davidoff cigar before and that was grown in an area that we no longer cultivate,” Simon explains. “All tobaccos combined, the Dominican puro is an impressive 111 years old. It is only rolled by our Master Roller supervisors with at least 20 years of experience and is only released when our Master Blenders deem it ready to be enjoyed. I am proud to declare the Oro Blanco Special Reserve 111 Years our rarest cigar to date, offering the ultimate indulgence to aficionados and appealing to collectors of ultra-premium creations.”
Each Oro Blanco is adorned with two branded bands trimmed in silver accents. The cigar itself comes packaged in a wooden box with grain reminiscent of the structure of a tobacco leaf. The logo on the box is inspired by the rays of the sun. Also, due to this cigar’s larger size, the 10-count box release of the Oro Blanco Special Reserve 111 includes a branded metal plaque, a smooth push-and-click system, and a metal plaque that can be personalized.
Davidoff’s Oro Blanco Reserve 111 will be released on October 17, 2024, to select Davidoff-appointed merchants, HORECA outlets, and Davidoff flagship stores worldwide.
