The Premium Cigar Association (PCA) is honored to announce the participation of the Dominican Republic´s Ambassador Herrera Franco in the World Cigar Show 2025 held in Dubai on November 11-12.
In a demonstration of strong support for the premium cigar industry and culture, and as a key element of the nation’s cultural and economic diplomacy, the Government of the Dominican Republic has designated His Excellency Mr. Renso Antonio Herrera Franco, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Dominican Republic to the United Arab Emirates, to represent the country in the Opening Remarks of the Cigar Conference, held on the 11th of November at the World Cigar Show. The Embassy will also participate in the high-level panel discussion “Beyond Borders: Decoding Emerging Markets & the Diplomatic Language of Cigars.”
The Dominican Republic’s diplomatic mission in the UAE will further underscore its leadership by co-hosting a diplomatic and cultural reception in collaboration with The Leaf Master, a leading cigar importer in the region, celebrating the nation’s cigar heritage and its role as one of the world’s foremost producers of premium cigars. This will ensure that the Dominican Republic is a highlight of this landmark event in Dubai.
Ambassador Herrera Franco stated: “I am honored to represent the Dominican Republic at this historic gathering, in support of our cigar industry and the cherished tradition of cigar diplomacy. My participation, along with government’s full support, will reinforce the bonds of friendship and cooperation between the peoples and governments of the UAE and the Dominican Republic. Bringing the culture of our nation—and our cigars—to Dubai carries particular significance, as tobacco has been officially declared part of the national cultural heritage of the Dominican Republic.”
