Foundation Cigar Company has announced the release of the Foundation 10-Year Anniversario, a special cigar crafted to commemorate the company’s first decade of making premium cigars. This limited-edition cigar will debut at the 2025 Premium Cigar Association (PCA) trade show in New Orleans, April 11-14, 2025.

In a press release, Nicholas Melillo, founder and master blender of Foundation Cigar Company, shared the following statement: “Celebrating ten years of Foundation Cigars is a deeply personal milestone. For this special release, I wanted to pay tribute to my Connecticut roots while incorporating the finest tobaccos from around Nicaragua. The result is a cigar that truly embodies the heart and soul of Foundation.”

Presented as a 7 x 58 Salomon, the Foundation 10-Year Anniversario has a hybrid wrapper that combines Connecticut Broadleaf and Connecticut Havana Seed, cultivated in the Connecticut River Valley; a Mata Fina Brazilian binder; and a blend of Nicaraguan fillers from Estelí, Jalapa, and Condega.

For the cigar’s branding and imagery, Melillo chose artwork that pays tribute to St. George slaying the dragon, a symbol of resilience and perseverance. This imagery is personal to Melillo, who says it represents the many challenges he’s faced in the cigar industry and his journey of overcoming those obstacles as a business owner.

“This cigar is not just a celebration of ten years in the industry—it’s a tribute to the passion, hard work, and relentless dedication it takes to build something meaningful,” commented Melillo.

This special cigar will be available exclusively to those retailers attending PCA25 in New Orleans. The Foundation 10-Year Anniversario is expected to ship to retailers sometime in the summer/fall of 2025.
