Foundation Cigar Company proudly announces the addition of two elegant new formats to its esteemed Wise Man collection: The Wise Man Corojo Lancero and The Wise Man Maduro Lancero. These refined 7 x 40 vitolas will debut at the 2025 PCA Trade Show in New Orleans and are expected to ship to select premium retailers across the U.S. in the summer and fall seasons.
A series deeply rooted in legend, The Wise Man pays homage to Menelik I—son of King Solomon and the Queen of Sheba—symbolizing both cultural heritage and the pursuit of wisdom. With the introduction of these new Lanceros, Foundation offers a more concentrated lens through which to appreciate the signature complexity and craftsmanship of two of its most celebrated blends.
“The Lancero has always held a special place in my heart,” said Nicholas Melillo, Founder and Master Blender of Foundation Cigar Company. “It was one of my grandfather’s favorite formats and a size that demands attention to detail. In this vitola, the wrapper truly shines—elevating the nuances of each blend and showcasing the purity of the tobaccos we use.”
The Wise Man Corojo Lancero is a Nicaraguan puro adorned with a Corojo 99 wrapper. This expression highlights select filler tobaccos from Estelí and Jalapa. In the Lancero format, the blend reveals a vibrant profile marked by spice, cedar, and a refined natural sweetness—showcasing the depth of Nicaragua’s storied terroir.
The Wise Man Maduro Lancero has a Connecticut Broadleaf wrapper and is anchored by a San Andrés binder. This Maduro edition offers a full-flavored experience. With its slender ring gauge, the Lancero intensifies notes of cocoa, espresso, and earth, delivering a long, elegant finish and superb balance.
Both Lanceros will be presented in twenty-count boxes, designed with the classic sophistication that reflects the spirit of the line and the artistry behind each cigar.
