The Premium Cigar Association (PCA) announced today that Omar de Frias, President and Founder of Fratello Cigars, has donated $3,000 to the PCA’s retailer defense fund to help the brick-and-mortar retailers defend against the ceaseless onslaught of anti-tobacco regulations.
“Omar is local to the DC area and participates in many of the various advocacy programs and events we hold, and he clearly understands the importance of continuous advocacy for the industry,” said PCA Executive Director Scott Pearce. “While we have had a great deal of success over the past few years, our opposition is always devising new ways to attack. With Omar and Fratello’s support, our dedicated team will continue to move positive legislation, and we will always be on the ready to defend any attack that comes the industry’s way.”
De Frias said the donation is about forging ahead for the industry’s future and looks forward to growing Fratello’s partnerships with retailers and the PCA. “It is a delight to support PCA in their legislative efforts. Since Fratello’s inception in 2013, we have stood side by side with PCA. As we celebrate our 10th anniversary in the industry, our mission is to grow with our retailer partners and fortify Fratello’s commitment to empowering the Premium Cigar Association in achieving their goals,” said de Frias.
