Fratello Cigars is continuing to push into new territory in 2026 with two distinct product introductions—one focused on blending innovation and the other on expanding into a new category—both aimed at giving retailers additional ways to engage today’s cigar consumer.

A Dual-Experience Cigar: Smooth and Strong
At the premium level, Fratello is introducing Smooth and Strong, a limited-production cigar designed to offer two different smoking experiences within a single vitola.

The concept is straightforward but unconventional: depending on which end is cut and lit, the cigar delivers either a smooth, creamy profile or a stronger, spicier expression, effectively placing the starting point of the experience in the hands of the consumer.

The cigar is presented in a 7 x 52 format and features a blend of Ecuadorian Habano wrapper, Indonesian binder, and fillers from Pennsylvania and Nicaragua (Estelí and Condega). Production takes place at La Aurora.

Limited to 12,000 cigars, Smooth and Strong is expected to begin shipping in June 2026, with plans for future releases on a rotating basis.

Entering a New Segment: Camo Cigarillos
At the same time, Fratello is making its entry into the flavored cigarillo segment with the launch of Camo Cigarillos, set to debut at PCA26 in New Orleans.

Offered in a 4 x 30 format, the new line introduces four blends:

  • Blue Lush
  • Ruby Glow
  • Island Green
  • Golden Bee

The product is positioned as a regular production item, packaged in tins and designed for accessibility, repeat purchases, and strong point-of-sale performance.

The national rollout will begin through a major retail network, with broader availability expected following its PCA debut. Shipping is scheduled for August 2026.

Two Strategies, One Direction
Taken together, the two releases reflect a broader direction for Fratello—balancing innovation at the premium level with expansion into faster-moving, high-turn categories.

For PCA members, the approach highlights two key opportunities:

  • Limited, conversation-driven products like Smooth and Strong that can differentiate a humidor
  • Accessible, repeat-purchase items like Camo Cigarillos that can drive volume and introduce new consumers

As the premium cigar category continues to evolve, strategies that combine both ends of the spectrum—innovation and accessibility—are becoming increasingly common.

Fratello’s latest releases position the brand squarely within that trend as it heads into PCA26.
