J.C. Newman Cigar Co. is marking a major milestone with the release of the Diamond Crown 130th Anniversary Humidor, a highly limited commemorative offering created to celebrate the company’s 130 years in business.

Founded on May 5, 1895, J.C. Newman remains America’s oldest family-owned premium cigar manufacturer. To honor that legacy, the company has produced just 130 anniversary humidors, each allocated exclusively to a select group of premium cigar retailers across the United States. Every humidor is fully stocked with 130 Diamond Crown Belicoso No. 9 cigars—making this release both a statement piece and a complete retail-ready presentation.

The humidor itself reflects the elevated positioning of the Diamond Crown brand. Finished in a glossy white piano lacquer with gold accents and custom diamond-shaped hardware, it is designed to serve as a centerpiece for high-end humidors and collector-focused clientele. Inside, five trays hold the full complement of cigars, underscoring the scale and intention behind the anniversary release. The suggested retail price is $2,250 per humidor.

Diamond Crown has long served as J.C. Newman’s signature celebration cigar. The line traces its roots back to the company’s centennial in 1995, when Stanford J. Newman partnered with Carlos Fuente Jr. to create Diamond Crown Classic as a once-in-a-generation expression of craftsmanship. That same spirit carries through to this anniversary edition, which brings the rare Diamond Crown Belicoso No. 9 to a broader audience for the first time.

The Belicoso No. 9 debuted in late 2024 alongside Diamond Crown’s updated packaging, but until now, availability has been extremely limited. This 130th Anniversary Humidor marks the first national release of the size, offering retailers a unique opportunity to showcase a cigar rooted in both rarity and legacy.

As J.C. Newman continues to operate its historic El Reloj factory in Tampa—now the last traditional cigar factory still rolling cigars in the United States—the Diamond Crown 130th Anniversary Humidor stands as a tangible reminder of the company’s enduring role in American cigar history.
