La Aurora is expanding its Cazadores line with two new additions: the Cazadores Maduro and Cazadores Nicaragua. Spanish for “Hunters,” Cazadores is an everyday, hand-rolled, long-filler cigar that’s crafted to be the perfect premium cigar for your next outdoor adventure. These Dominican cigars are said to have great value without sacrificing any quality.

In a press release, La Aurora USA’s CEO Ed McKenna commented: “With the success of the claro wrapper we knew we could expand the Cazadores line and offer a Nicaragua and Maduro wrapper option at a price point that could continue to introduce Manuel Inoa’s blends to a budget-conscious audience. And ultimately introduce this audience to the La Aurora family.”

John Farrigan, La Aurora USA’s national sales director, added: “Two things excite me most about the refresh of the Cazadores line: One, with the addition of Nicaragua and Maduro to the Cazadores line I truly believe there is not a better line of value cigars at the same suggested MSRP in the U.S. market. And two, it is the only gordo, or 6×60, format offered within our current U.S. portfolio, and it is something our fans and retailers have been asking for across all our U.S. markets.”

The Cazadores Claro has a Connecticut from Ecuador, an Indonesian binder, and Dominican fillers. This is the original blend that was launched in 2018. It is a mild-medium strength cigar with mellow earthy and coffee notes and a cedar wood and nutty aftertaste.

The new Cazadores Maduro has an Indonesian Maduro wrapper over an Indonesian binder and Dominican fillers from the Cibao Valley. This cigar delivers balanced, rich, and subtly sweet cigar experience with notes of nuts and woods. The Cazadores Nicaragua is a mild-medium blend of Dominican fillers from the Cibao Valley. This cigar has an Indonesian binder and a Nicaraguan wrapper. This combination of tobacco makes this cigar a spicy addition to the Cazadores line and offers peppery notes that complements the cigar’s wood and earthy notes.

The Cazadores line will be available in three sizes: Robusto, 5 x 50; Toro, 5 3/4 x 54; and Gordo, 6 x 60. Each will be packaged in 2-count boxes with each cigar having a suggested retail price ranging from $4.50 to $6.50 before applicable taxes. Both the Cazadores Claro and Cazadores Maduro will have a production run of 650 boxes each. The Cazadores Nicaragua will be available in 500 boxes. These cigars are expected to ship to retailers in late April.

Cazadores, La Aurora Preferidos Hors d’Age 2022 LE, and La Aurora Puro Vintage 2014 will be among the releases showcased by La Aurora at PCA24. You can visit them at Booth #17048.
