Macanudo Gold Label is back–but this time as a limited-edition 6 1/2 x 52 torpedo. Available in limited quantities, the Macanudo Gold Label has become a favorite among cigar enthusiasts due to its Connecticut Shade Capa Especial wrapper, drawn exclusively from the first and second primings of the tobacco plant. These lower leaves receive less sunlight and thus retain more natural sugars. The result is a wrapper that is lighter in color, sweeter in taste, and silkier in texture.

“Macanudo Gold Label has always been a fan favorite, and it’s a release we’re proud to bring back each year. As always, we’ve incorporated the first and second primings of the Mexican San Andrés binder to deliver an even more elevated smoking experience. Pairing that with a torpedo vitola gives the blend a new dimension while staying true to the mellow, creamy profile fans expect from Gold Label,” commented Matt Wilson, senior brand manager for Macanudo.

Macanudo Gold Label has a Connecticut Shade (Capa Especial) wrapper, a Mexican binder, and a blend of Mexican and Dominican filler tobacco. Together, these tobaccos create a flavor profile that’s described as “smooth, nuanced, and approachable.”

The suggested retail price of the Macanudo Gold Label is $13.29 before applicable taxes. It is handcrafted at General Cigar Dominicana in Santiago, Dominican Republic. This collection will begin shipping to retailers in May 2025 and will be available while supplies last.
