Altadis U.S.A. has announced the release of Montecristo 1935 Anniversary Edición Doble Diamante Red, a new limited edition scheduled to debut at the 2026 Premium Cigar Association Trade Show (PCA26) in New Orleans.

The cigar becomes the second release in the Doble Diamante series and expands the Montecristo 1935 Anniversary portfolio. The Montecristo 1935 Anniversary Edición Doble Diamante Red was developed in collaboration with Rafael Nodal and AJ Fernandez. The cigar features a small-batch Nicaraguan wrapper, an extra-fermented Nicaraguan binder, and Nicaraguan filler tobaccos. It is produced in Nicaragua and described by the company as a medium-full profile.

According to Altadis U.S.A., the tobaccos were sourced from AJ Fernandez farms including Finca la Lilia and San Lotano in Estelí.

The release is offered in a single 6 1/2 x 54 Toro format and packaged in a 20-count cedar humidor with piano finish and metal accents. Production is limited to 250 humidors.

Altadis U.S.A. has indicated that Montecristo 1935 Anniversary Edición Doble Diamante Red will be officially unveiled at PCA26 beginning April 17, 2026. The company stated that shipments to premium cigar retailers will begin the same day.
