Montosa, a premium cigar line from Arnold André, announces the debut of its latest format: the Montosa Gigante, a generous 6 x 60 vitola offered in both Natural and Maduro blends. This newest addition will launch at the 2025 Premium Cigar Association (PCA25) trade show in New Orleans. The Montosa Gigante will have a suggested retail price of $9 per cigar before applicable taxes. It will come packed in 20-count boxes.

Crafted to meet rising demand for larger formats, the Gigante delivers the same hallmark balance and craftsmanship, making Montosa one of the most respected new entries in the U.S. premium cigar market. The line extension caters to consumers who favor the experience of a fuller ring gauge without compromising on flavor, construction or draw.

“The Montosa Gigante completes our portfolio with a format that speaks directly to today’s big ring gauge consumer,” said Oliver Nivaud, director of operations at United Cigars. “It’s a natural evolution for a line that has built its reputation on consistency, subtlety, and outstanding value.”

Handmade at Arnold André Dominicana—a factory founded in 2011 in the heart of the Cibao Valley—each Montosa Gigante reflects over two centuries of German tobacco heritage. The tobaccos are sourced from the valley’s fertile soils, where ideal growing conditions yield leaves prized for their aromatic nuance and structural integrity.

The Montosa Natural offers a refined, mild-bodied experience. Cloaked in a silky Ecuadorian Connecticut wrapper and supported by a Mexican binder, the filler consists of Dominican Piloto, Dominican Criollo, and Indonesian tobaccos. The result is an elegant flavor profile, offering light pepper on the retrohale and a whisper of spice on the finish.

For those seeking greater depth, the Montosa Maduro delivers a medium-bodied journey marked by richness and complexity. Wrapped in a dark Mexican San Andrés leaf and bound with Brazilian tobacco, its filler blend of Dominican, Brazilian, and Nicaraguan leaves provides notes of cocoa, earth, and a subtle sweetness. The Cigar Authority honored this blend as Cigar of the Year in 2022, a testament to its appeal and value.

Montosa’s growth in the U.S. market is guided by United Cigars, whose portfolio includes celebrated lines such as Red Anchor, La Gianna Havana, Garofalo, and the innovative Firecracker series. United also distributes luxury offerings from Selected Tobacco—including Atabey, Byron, and Alfonso—and Arnold André’s Terra Nova line, which features unique tobaccos like Kentucky Fire Cured and Araperique.

With the introduction of Montosa Gigante, retailers have a compelling new option for consumers who appreciate bold formats and refined flavors. It’s not just a larger size—it’s a larger statement of value, tradition, and quality.
