Black Label Trading Co. has released details of its PCA 2024 Exclusive premium cigar. Orthodox is handcrafted at Fabrica Oveja Negra in Estelí, Nicaragua. This will be a small batch release available only to those retailers that attend the 2024 Premium Cigar Association (PCA24) in Las Vegas on March 22-25, 2024.
In a press release, creator of Black Label Trading Co. and partner at Fabrica Oveja Negra James Brown commented: “Orthodox is really about Black Label getting back to its roots. We’ve done a lot over the last 10 years but at our core we are about highlighting the strength and intensity of Nicaraguan tobacco. That’s what I went for with the Orthodox. It’s extremely bold with spice throughout the palate and nose. Its intensity is balanced by flavors of dark fruits, cherries, raisins and finishes with star anise. This cigar is bold but very balanced and extremely complex.”
Orthodox has a Mexican San Andrés wrapper, an Ecuadoran Habano binder, and filler tobacco from Nicaragua. It will be available in three sizes: Toro, 5 3/4 x 50; Corona Gorda, 5 x 46; and Short Robusto, 4 1/2 x 52. The suggested retail price of Orthodox will range from $12.50 to $13 before applicable taxes.
Black Label Trading Company and other Oveja Negra Brands will exhibit at PCA24. You can visit them at Booth #14097. Visit ovejanegracigars.com for more information.
