Los Statos Deluxe Adds Connecticut Shade to Lineup

Scandinavian Tobacco Group is expanding its Los Statos Deluxe line with a new Connecticut Shade cigar. The Los Statos Deluxe Connecticut is the third cigar in the revamped Los Statos Deluxe line. Like other cigars recently introduced in the Los Statos portfolio, the new Los Statos Deluxe Connecticut Shade is a collaboration between Matt Booth and Justin Andrews.

The medium-bodied Los Statos Deluxe Connecticut Shade features an Ecuadorian Connecticut wrapper and a blend of Estelí, Jalapa, and Pennsylvania Broadleaf tobacco in addition to its Nicaraguan Habano filler. According to the company, you can expect a smooth, creamy, and nuanced smoking experience.

In a press release, Los Statos Deluxe senior brand manager Matt Wilson commented: “When we started developing Los Statos Deluxe Connecticut, we wanted it to be a ‘smoker’s Connecticut’ in that it is a milder cigar compared to the rest of the Los Statos Deluxe portfolio, yet it has plenty of dimension, depth and nuance. This is why we wanted to work with our friends at Joya de Nicaragua to deliver on this smoking experience that cigar smokers, newer and experienced alike, can truly enjoy.”

Matt Booth, founder and creative director of Room101, added: “Smoking Los Statos Deluxe Connecticut will set your soul ablaze. It will be as if your very spirit has touched the sun.” In addition to working on the blend, Booth also designed the eye-catching packaging for Los Statos Deluxe Connecticut Shade to ensure that it would stand out on retail shelves.

Los Statos Deluxe Connecticut Shade is handcrafted in Nicaragua by Joya de Nicaragua. This cigar is presented in 20-count boxes and will be available in four sizes: Robusto, 5 x 50; Toro, 6 x 52; Churchill, 7 x 48; Gigante, 6 x 60. Suggested retail price per cigar will range from $8.79 to $9.99.

Los Statos Deluxe is distributed by Forged Cigar Company.
