Maya Selva Announces VZ Danlí and Año de la Serpiente

Maya Selva Cigars has announced the upcoming release within the Villa Zamorano line, the VZ Danlí. Available as a 6 x 56 Toro and a 5 x 50 Robusto, the new VZ Danlí features a Carmelita wrapper, a binder from Trojes, Azacualpa and Jamastrán, Honduras, and a selection of Honduran tobacco for the filler.

The tobacco used in the VZ Danlí has undergone triple fermentation and has been processed to achieve a great balance between strength and aroma.

“Our core value has been to showcase the taste of the tobacco from Honduras. We have have taken this unique expertise and refined it for over three decades to bring you this new cigar–the first blend to bear the stamp and cigar of Danlí, representing the quintessence of this particular soil, climate, and know-how. With a long, hand-rolled roller the aficionado will surely experience a rich and expressive cigar,” the company shared in a press release.

The VZ Danlí will be available in 25-count boxes.

In addition to the VZ Danlí, Maya Selva also announced the upcoming release of the Año de la Serpiente 2025, a cigar that will celebrate the next Chinese New Year Zodiac, Year of the Snake. Presented as a 6 1/8 x 52 pirámide, the Año de la Serpient features a Jamastrán, Honduras wrapper, a double binder from Jamastrán and Estelí, Nicaragua, and filler tobacco from Honduras and Nicaragua. Limited to just 2,025 boxes of 10 cigars, each Año de la Serpient 2025 will have a suggested retail price of $25.

Both of these new releases from Maya Selva will debut at the InterTabac 2024 trade show in Dortmund, Germany, from September 19-21.
