Punch Cigars is adding a 7 x 38 Lancero to its Golden Era line. Like other cigars within the Golden Era line, this new Lancero features the same Corojo-heavy blend as previous releases. This cigar is handmade in Honduras at Fabrica de Puros Aladino S.A.
For this release, Punch Cigars worked closely with the Eiroa family, known for their famous Cuban-seed Corojo tobacco that they grow on their 650-acre farm in Honduras. The blend is comprised of a Honduran-grown Cuban-seed Corojo wrapper and binder and has Honduran-grown Habano and Cuban-seed Corojo tobacco in its filler. This is the only Lancero in the Punch portfolio.
“We’re excited to add a classic Lancero to the Golden Era line. The rich, silky Corojo tobacco of Golden Era is a throwback to when Corojo was king in the cigar world, and the new Lancero delivers a uniquely creamy and spicy smoking experience that connoisseurs will love,” commented John Hakim, Punch’s brand manager.
Punch Golden Era Lancero is described as being a mellow to medium-bodied smoke with tasting notes that include earth, cream, and nuts. This cigar comes in 20-count boxes and is available now for retailers to purchase. The suggested retail price per cigar is $10.99 before applicable taxes.
