Perdomo Cigars is preparing to introduce a new limited release with Perdomo Legacy Father & Son, a project that brings together two generations of blending experience and will make its official debut at the 2026 Premium Cigar Association Trade Show in New Orleans.
The release builds on the Perdomo Legacy line introduced last year, but this time the concept shifts from a single blender’s vision to a collaborative effort between Nick Perdomo Jr. and his son, Nicholas Perdomo III. Each played a direct role in the development of the cigars, with one blend created by the father, one by the son, and a third developed together—making the project as much about legacy as it is about tobacco.
A Blend Built on Family and Tobacco Innovation
At the core of the release is Nicaraguan Shade Grown tobacco, a varietal developed by Perdomo and refined over years of cultivation. The project marks one of the most prominent uses of that tobacco within the company’s portfolio, with each blend utilizing it in different roles to highlight its versatility.
The cigars also incorporate tobaccos aged between 10 and 15 years, drawn from limited harvests between 2011 and 2016. These tobaccos come from Perdomo’s farms in Condega, Estelí, and Jalapa, and their limited availability is a key reason the release is being offered as a small-batch project rather than a regular production line.
A Rare Limited Release from Perdomo
For retailers, one of the most notable aspects of Legacy Father & Son is that it represents a departure from Perdomo’s typical production strategy. The company is widely known for focusing on core, consistent lines rather than limited editions, making this release stand out within its portfolio.
The cigars will be offered in a box-pressed Gran Figurado format, measuring approximately 6 x 48/60/52, and packaged in 50-count chests produced at Perdomo’s own box factory. Each cigar will carry an MSRP of approximately $15.
The blend will be available in three wrapper options—Shade Grown, Maduro, and Connecticut—each reflecting the distinct blending approaches of father, son, and their shared collaboration.
PCA 2026: First Look and Ordering Opportunity
Perdomo plans to showcase Legacy Father & Son at PCA 2026, where retailers will have the opportunity to view the cigars and place orders. While a limited preview will take place at select retail events earlier in the year, broader availability is expected later in Q4 2026.
Given the limited production and the brand’s typically non-limited approach, Legacy Father & Son is likely to attract attention from both longtime Perdomo customers and collectors seeking a more exclusive offering from the company.
