Plasencia Cigars has introduced the Colección Explorador, a curated sampler designed to showcase several of the company’s most recognized cigars in one presentation.
The collection, translated as the “Explorer Collection,” brings together six vitolas from Plasencia’s award-winning portfolio. The sampler highlights the range of blends and styles produced by the vertically integrated cigar manufacturer, whose tobacco-growing history dates back to 1865.
For retailers, the release offers a packaged tasting experience that spans multiple Plasencia lines—from organic tobacco blends to fuller-bodied expressions made from tobaccos grown in Nicaragua’s volcanic soils.
The sampler includes cigars from several of the brand’s flagship series.
- Plasencia Reserva Original Robusto: The Reserva Original line is known as the world’s first certified 100% organic cigar, produced using tobacco grown without chemical fertilizers or pesticides.
- Plasencia Cosecha 151 San Diego – Corona Gorda: Released to celebrate the Plasencia family’s 151st tobacco harvest, this blend has received industry recognition, including Cigar Journal’s 2024 Cigar of the Year and a 92-point rating.
- Plasencia Alma del Campo Sendero – Toro Gordo: A balanced, medium-to-full bodied blend noted for its creamy texture and refined profile. The cigar has received 90 points from Cigar Aficionado.
- Plasencia Alma del Fuego Concepción – Toro: Made using tobaccos from the volcanic island of Ometepe, this blend has earned a 93 rating and ranked No. 13 in Cigar Aficionado’s Top 25 Cigars of 2019.
- Plasencia Alma Fuerte Sixto I – Hexágono: One of the company’s most distinctive cigars, the Sixto I features a six-sided box-pressed shape designed to enhance draw and flavor balance.
- Plasencia Alma Fuerte Generación V – Salomón: A large-format Salomón vitola known for its complexity and evolving flavor profile.
The Colección Explorador sampler is presented in a wooden box containing six cigars, each representing a different Plasencia blend and vitola. The packaging includes an outer sleeve and is designed to highlight the brand’s exploration theme.
The sampler carries an MSRP of $119.99 and began shipping to retailers in March 2026.
With multiple highly rated cigars included in one package, the Colección Explorador provides a cross-section of Plasencia’s portfolio and blends that have helped define the brand’s position in the premium cigar market.
