In her new role, Nickus will support PCA’s marketing, media relations, and digital communications efforts across multiple platforms, including the association’s website, email campaigns, social media channels, and publications. She will work closely with departments across the organization to strengthen PCA’s outreach to members and advance its mission of protecting and promoting the premium cigar industry. Nickus will report to Antoine Reid, PCA’s Senior Director of Marketing and Communications.

Her career includes marketing and editorial roles with the Los Angeles Times and the Illinois News Network, among others. In her various marketing and communications roles, she led initiatives in storytelling, membership communications, and event promotion. Nickus holds a Bachelor of Arts in Journalism from California State University, Long Beach.

“Lesley brings a strong background in strategic communications and content development that will enhance PCA’s marketing efforts and member engagement,” said Antoine Reid, Senior Director of Marketing and Communications at PCA. “Her experience across media, advocacy, and brand storytelling aligns perfectly with our mission to elevate the voice of the premium cigar industry.”

“I’m genuinely excited to join the PCA team and play a role in an organization that not only celebrates the artistry of premium cigars but also the vibrant community that fuels it,” said Lesley Nickus. “It’s a chance to help tell the stories behind a heritage-rich industry and to connect more deeply with the retailers, makers, and enthusiasts who keep this tradition alive.”

As part of PCA’s marketing team, Nickus will be supporting campaigns for the association’s trade show, membership programs, and advocacy initiatives. She can be reached at Lesley@premiumcigars.org.
