Tatuaje Cigars will begin shipping the Tatuaje Monster Jason Redux 6 to select retailers in early October. The limited-edition release is the sixth installment in the company’s Redux Monsters series.
The Jason Redux 6 measures 7 1/2 x 52 and features a Connecticut Broadleaf wrapper over a Nicaraguan binder and Nicaraguan filler tobaccos. Production took place at My Father Cigars in Estelí, Nicaragua.
The cigars will be presented in coffin-style cabinet boxes containing 13 cigars. The suggested retail price is $13 per cigar, placing each box at $169 before applicable taxes.
Tatuaje produced 5,000 boxes, representing a total release of 65,000 cigars. Of those, 4,300 use the standard presentation. The remaining 700 are numbered boxes, including 666 sequentially numbered packages and additional boxes marked “XX” that the company typically reserves for special occasions.
The Redux series revisits cigars from Tatuaje’s Monster Series, which draws its names and visual identity from classic horror characters. This year’s release returns to Jason, the hockey mask-wearing character associated with the Friday the 13th film franchise.
For retailers, the release combines the established following of Tatuaje’s Monster Series with a limited production run and collectible packaging. Allocations will be available through select Tatuaje retailers.
