In celebration of Cameroon tobacco, United Cigar Group and J.C. Newman Cigar Company are teaming up for the release of Cameroon Firecracker by J.C. Newman. This release is slated to begin shipping in late August 2025. 

This Firecracker was crafted in recognition of the 60th anniversary of Standford Newman’s discovery of Cameroon tobacco. For this release, J.C. Newman’s El Baton brand, featuring Cameroon tobacco, will be combined with United Cigar Group’s small-format Firecracker series. In 1965, Standford Newman–a second-generation cigar maker–was among the first to. Use Cameroon tobacco in premium cigars. 

The J.C. Newman Cameroon Firecracker is crafted at Puros de Estelí Nicaragua, S.A. (PENSA) factory. This limited-edition cigar will be presented in a 3 ½ x 50 format. Only 500 boxes of this special release are set for production with each box holding 20 cigars priced at $9 a cigar. According to United Cigar Group, Cameroon Firecracker by J.C. Newman is a medium-bodied smoke with notes of spice, sweetness, cedar and a touch of earthiness.
