Alec Bradley is expanding on one of its most popular lines with a thoughtful, small-batch release: Kintsugi Wabi Sabi. This limited-edition cigar, crafted by AJ Fernandez in Estelí, Nicaragua, is set to begin shipping to retailers on August 4.
Taking its name from the Japanese philosophy of wabi sabi—which celebrates authenticity, imperfection, and the beauty of natural aging—this new expression offers a more personal and soulful interpretation of the Kintsugi story. Rather than striving for flawless uniformity, the blend embraces richness and variation.
The cigar features an Ecuadorian Habano wrapper, Mexican binder, and Nicaraguan fillers. The result is a medium to medium-plus profile with subtle depth and an evolving complexity that reveals itself with every draw.
“This blend is about appreciating the real,” said Bradley Rubin, Brand Ambassador for Alec Bradley. “We didn’t chase perfection—we honored character, and what came through was a cigar with heart.”
The limited release of Kintsugi Wabi Sabi will be available in just one size, a 6 x 52 Toro with a suggested retail price of $12.49 per cigar before applicable taxes. This cigar will be limited to a release of 1,500 boxes, each containing 16 cigars.
For retailers, Kintsugi Wabi Sabi presents a rare opportunity to offer customers a cigar that is both philosophically inspired and artfully executed. With only 1,500 boxes available, this is a short-run product ideal for collectors and Alec Bradley loyalists alike.
