E.P. Carrillo’s new release will be the E.P. Carrillo Maduro, a medium-bodied and rich-flavored premium cigar. This new blend was designed to strike a balance between complexity and accessibility, with notes of dark chocolate, bold espresso, and subtle hints of spice.
“I’m very excited of this particular blend. It’s different from anything I’ve done before in a Maduro. I encourage anyone who loves our cigars to try this one because it will also become one of your favorites,” commented Ernesto Perez-Carrillo.
The new E.P. Carrillo Maduro has a Mexican San Andrés wrapper, Honduran binder, and filler tobacco from Nicaragua. The cigar will be presented in three sizes: Robusto, 5 x 50; Toro, 6 x 52; and Gordo, 6 x 60. The suggested retail price per cigar ranges from $9.25 to $10.75 before applicable taxes.
The E.P. Carrillo Maduro is part of the company’s new Essence series. E.P. Carrillo plans to launch six blends within this series within the next 2-3 years, each set apart by their unique and notable wrappers. The first release in this series was the E.P. Carrillo Sumatra, which debuted during the PCA24 trade show this past March [read more here]. Both the E.P. Carrillo Sumatra and the new E.P. Carrillo Maduro will ship to retailers in late May. During the second half of 2024, E.P. Carrillo will launch the Honduras blend within the Essence line.
