Crowned Heads has announced the upcoming release of Mil Días Des Deux LE 2025, the newest limited edition under its Mil Días brand. The project brings together two distinct blends—the Mil Días Habano and the Mil Días Maduro—packaged side by side in a new format.
Each 12-count box includes six cigars of each blend, both rolled in a 6 1/8 x 42 Long Corona (also referred to as a Corona Grande) vitola. Production is capped at 1,500 boxes, or 18,000 cigars in total. The cigars are being produced at the D’Hatuey factory in Estelí, Nicaragua, under Don Eradio Pichardo.
The inspiration for the release traces back more than a decade. Crowned Heads co-founder Jon Huber recalled being introduced to the Cuban Hoyo de Monterrey Le Hoyo Des Dieux before it was discontinued in 2014. The size of that cigar left a lasting impression and, years later, became the basis for Mil Días Des Deux.
“Ever since then, I’ve had that cigar in the back of my mind and was always looking for the right opportunity to put the Crowned Heads spin on that vitola,” Huber explained in announcing the project.
The Mil Días Habano blend uses an Ecuadorian habano wrapper, a Nicaraguan binder, and fillers from Costa Rica, Nicaragua, and Peru. The Mil Días Maduro, which joined Crowned Heads’ regular production portfolio in 2024, features a Connecticut broadleaf wrapper over an Ecuadorian habano binder with filler tobaccos from Nicaragua’s Condega, Jalapa, and Ometepe regions.
Suggested retail pricing is set at $11.50 per cigar, with shipping expected to begin in early October.
