Black Works Studio (BLK WKS) has announced the release of The Five Temples – Seven Star Fist of Shaolin, a new limited-edition collection handmade at Fabrica Oveja Negra in Estelí, Nicaragua. The series will begin shipping to select retailers next week and was first offered as a pre-order to attendees of PCA25 in New Orleans.
According to James Brown, creator of Black Label Trading Company and partner at Fabrica Oveja Negra, the project has been in the making for more than a decade. “This collection is something I’ve wanted to do for a long time,” said Brown. “The vibe I wanted was an old-school Kung Fu movie, and The Five Temples – Seven Star Fist of Shaolin definitely has that feel. Each cigar is a unique representation of the blends, and the pyramid shape symbolizes the form of a Shaolin temple. For fans of the Killer Bee and Green Hornet, this is a must-have.”
The 24-count collection includes:

Each cigar features a Honduras Habano binder with Nicaraguan fillers, and the collection retails for $13 per cigar. BLK WKS describes The Five Temples as “an expression of art showcasing the talent, technique, and tobacco” of Fabrica Oveja Negra, underscoring the factory’s reputation for creative small-batch craftsmanship.
